The head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis has been named TIME magazine Person of the Year 2013. Acoording to TIME editors:

Sign language translator at Nelson Mandela's memorial was a fake!

How embarrassing! Lol. According to South Africa's Deaf Federation, the sign translator who was seen by millions of people on TV translating at Nelson Mandela's Memorial Service yesterday was afake, who was making up his own signs. SADF said the man, seen moving his hands beside world leaders as they gave their speech at FNB stadium, communicated nothing that made sense.
"The structure of his hand, facial expressions and the body movements did not follow what the speaker was saying. I was really upset and humiliated. He made up his own signs. What happened at the memorial service is truly a disgraceful thing to see. It should not happen at all. It will be forever aligned with Nelson Mandela & Deaf Community, thanks to this fake interpreter.' A member of the World Deaf Federation said

She was detained at Alade Police station in Somolu but was later released after she was discharged and acquitted by the court.
In a recent interview, Yetunde who is in the Odunfa Caucus of the Yoruba film industry reveals what really happened.

Nelson Mandela, the former South African President and anti-apartheid activist, died December 5th at age 95. In this picture, Mandela saluted the crowd in Galeshewe Stadium near Kimberley, South Africa, before a “People’s Forum” Friday, Feb. 25, 1994.

UK Prime Minister David Cameron, US President Barack Obama and Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmid have faced serious backlash from people since these photos of them taking a selfie at Nelson Mandela's memorial service in Johannesburg was released yesterday.

People online are accusing them of undermining the seriousness of the event by smiling and taking photos on their mobile phones. I don't know what these people are talking about, I think it's adorable and shows they are regular people like us, at the end of the day. What do you think, was this inappropriate?

So someone sent designer and critic Emmy Collins who is a strong advocate against bleaching a link to a story on Stella's blog where actress Juliet Ibrahim talked about light-skinned and bi-racial people getting more attention and favours as compared to dark-skinned Africans.
Emmy checks the story out and he decided he didn't like the quality of the blog. So he went on Twitter to air his view and Stella didn't find it funny. The sad part of the fight was that Emmy blocked Stella after a while so the exchange didn't go on for long.

Police in Imo State recently arrested the killer of 12-year-old Ifunanya Favour Iberi who was declared wanted two months ago. The 34-year-old man was identified as Samuel Chukwunyere. Ifunanya was last seen by members of her family on Sunday, October 13, 2013, when she could not return to their house after her day’s routine activities .
In this interview with Crime Alert, the suspect confessed that he actually lured the innocent victim to his house and raped her to death.
