Don’t you just love location lookbooks? Taking a cue from the glam in the 50s, Nigerian designer Priscilia Suchi Best, Creative Director of Suchile, presents her Spring/Summer 2014 collection – “Retrograde“. This collection is all about taking a step back in time in fashion for the design label as well as with the creativity of the pieces. This collection, which is a favourite of the designer, is for the bold and confident woman who is not afraid to make a statement with her style. According to the designer “we went a little off our aesthetics of designing pieces that are simple & innocent in form, but daring enough to awaken the female body, to when fashion itself was everything but simple“.
The pieces are cut in simple silhouettes made from lace and silk in black, blue, red, yellow, champagne and red & white polka dot hues. I especially love the contrast between the pieces and the background.
We are loving these looks, very retro!
