Probe on Stella Oduah BMW car scam suspended indefinitely

The Senate, on Thursday, suspended indefinitely its decision to question the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, at its general session, after repeatedly deferring the minister’s appearance.
Ms. Oduah will now appear before the Senate Committee on Aviation on an unnamed date, a new resolution approved by the lawmakers on Thursday said. The hearing is expected to be reported back to the senate plenary.
“The Senate accordingly resolves to rescind its earlier resolution that the minister of aviation and chief executives of the aviation parastatals to brief the senate plenary,” the motion read.Senate president, David Mark did not give reasons for the senate's decision. Read more - Telegraphng

Nigerian socialite Taiwo Jamani dies after attack by business partner

Nigerian socialite and business man Taiwo Jamani, 45, died yesterday November 13th about a month after he was attacked in Swords, Dublin by a business associate.
37year old Jooda Akanbi attacked Jamani with a baseball bat on October 10th in broad daylight on Main Street in the north Dublin town at about 12.20pm after an argument broke out between them.
Mr, Jamani, a human resource specialist who owns Data Link Company in Dublin, suffered serious damage to his back and neck after his own friend attacked him. An eye witness told police that the two men first began shouting at each other, then they were pushing and shoving...
"I think one was waiting for the other because the boot of his car was open and there were two bats in it even before the fight began. Then the man with the bat held it high over his head and brought it down hard on the other man’s head and he just slumped to the ground. It was shocking. It’s not something you expect to see,”the eye witness said.Jamani was rushed to the hospital where he finally succumbed to his injuries. He died in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin yesterday. Mr. Akanbi has been arrested for murder and is currently awaiting trial.

Things seem to have taken a rocky turn for the seemingly happily married couple. Beyonce, 32, is reportedly thinking about taking a break from her marriage because she thinks Jay is being “selfish” and not putting his family first.
While Beyonce was in Australia for her Mrs. Carter tour, Jay Z visited her and the two lovebirds took a mini 3-day vacation to a private resort to spend some quality time together. But apparently it was more than just a relaxing trip.
"Jay Z’s early November trip to Australia was not just a family getaway, it was a last-ditch effort to keep his marriage afloat," an insider told Star.
"Jay Z’s decision to tour Europe at the same time as Beyoncé is touring Australia has caused serious damage to their relationship — damage that may be ultimately prove to be irreparable.”
Though the source says Bey didn’t have an issue with Jay, 43, going on tour with Justin Timberlake over the summer, she assumed that he would at least take the initiative to accompany her and their 19-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy, on tour in Australia and New Zealand – instead of going clubbing all the time.

Weeks after a US Senator insulted Nigerians in a bid to mock Obamacare website glitch, another piece has been written, this time by journalist Ann Coulter. In an article titled, 'to speak to a Nigerian Prince about your healthcare, press '1' now', Ann basically says criminals are running the Obamacare website and most of them Nigerians. Her article is quite offensive...excerpts below...
This week we found out that the tens of thousands of "navigators" hired by the government to enroll people in Obamacare will include convicted felons.
Despite some "navigators" having already been exposed as having arrest warrants against them, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has no plans to screen out the criminals.
The problem isn't their complexion, it's their culture. In America, we think only dumb people become criminals. That's not true in the Third World!

Every level of Nigerian society is criminal, with the smart ones running Internet scams, the mid-range ones running car theft rings, and the stupid ones engaging in piracy and kidnapping. At the University of Lagos, you can major in credit card fraud.

The Hawaii State Senate has passed a bill legalizing gay marriage, making it all but official that the island paradise will now be a same-sex wedding destination.
