Why President Jonathan Didn't Speak At Mandela’s Memorial Service - Presidency
The Presidency two nights ago rose in defence of President Goodluck Jonathan for not speaking at the memorial service in honour of the former South African leader, Nelson Mandela in South Africa.
The President had come under serious condemnation by critics in the social media, who wondered why he went to Johannesburg in the first place without rendering an oration in honour of Madiba as other world leaders did.
Actor Olumide Bakare Down With Heart Ailment
The veteran actor is down with a heart disease. Bakare who has been in and out of hospital is presently at his home now. He says, he feels week, and can’t do anything at the moment and he’s asking for the help of well-meaning Nigerians.
“I'm weak; I cannot do anything for now. I've also not been able to work for a while now as a result if this illness, so I'm calling on well-meaning Nigerians for support.”

Beyonce features author Chimamanda Adichie in her new album
In the new album, Beyonce collaborated with Jay Z, Drake, Justin Timberlake, Kelly Rowland....and featured our very Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on a track titled Flawless. Beyonce put a portion of the award winning author's speech about feminism and roles women play in the society in the song. Pop meets Literature! Amazing stuff.

Lawyer, passenger found dead in car with engine running in Asaba
According to a report by Eagle Online, a lawyer and another man were found dead in a Toyota Camry car with registration number FGG 931 AE, at the popular Inter-Bau round-about in Asaba Delta State yesterday Thursday December 12th.The lawyer and the passenger were said to be returning from a court session when they suddenly started foaming in the mouth and nose in the air-conditioned car. They were dead within minutes according to eye witnesses.

"They must have inhaled a poisonous substance thrown into their car from where they were coming from. If not, how would they have died inside the car they were riding in?"The identity of the lawyer and the passenger, believed to be a bricklayer, have not been confirmed. Their bodies have been deposited at the Federal Medical Center, in Asaba.
